AI receptionist for dental clinics in Ahmedabad
The enquiry arrives at 10 pm, in Gujarati, from somebody comparing three clinics.
An Ahmedabad dental practice hears from two kinds of caller on the same line: the patient in pain who needs the earliest real slot, and the person comparing clinics for braces, aligners or whitening who will book with whoever answers. The second caller does not leave a voicemail and does not ring back in the morning. And the relative who rings to move the appointment is as likely to do it in Gujarati as in English, which is a call that goes badly if the line only follows one language.

At a glance
| What it does | Where the edge is | |
|---|---|---|
| Evening elective enquiries | Answered on the first ring, consult booked | Only into slots you have opened |
| Aligner and cosmetic questions | Quotes the consultation fee you loaded | Never a treatment price without an examination |
| Language | Gujarati, Hindi and English, following the caller | Gujarati spoken in a Gujarati voice |
| Existing patients | Recognised by number, recall found | Nothing rebooked without them asking |
| Four callers at once | All four answered | No busy tone in the evening rush |
Elective work behaves like a sales enquiry, not a medical one
Somebody in pain will ring you back tomorrow because they have to. Somebody comparing braces or aligner pricing will not - they are shopping, and the shortlist closes that evening. The two enquiry types want different handling from the same line: the pain call needs the earliest genuine slot, and the elective call needs a consultation booked before the person moves on. The agent books both, and it does not quote a treatment price for either, because no honest practice quotes treatment without seeing the mouth.
Gujarati first, and the relative who rings to reschedule
The patient books in English or Hindi, and then a parent or spouse rings to change the appointment in Gujarati. Handling the first and fumbling the second is a worse experience than handling neither. The agent picks the language from the caller's own sentence and speaks Gujarati in a Gujarati voice. It is the newest language we have added, so ask for a test call on your own appointment types before you rely on it.

What it will not do
Worth stating before anybody buys.
- No treatment prices for braces, aligners, implants or veneers - the consultation fee only
- No clinical advice, no view on whether something is urgent, and no triage beyond the rules you set
- It cannot promise a named dentist, only the slot type you opened
- It does not integrate with practice-management software
Frequently asked questions
Will it quote treatment prices?
No. It quotes the consultation fee you loaded and books the examination. A treatment price given over the phone becomes an argument in the chair.
Does it speak Gujarati?
Yes, in a Gujarati voice rather than a Hindi voice approximating it, and it follows a caller who switches between Gujarati, Hindi and English mid-call. It is the newest language we have added, so test it first.
Can it handle the evening rush?
Up to four calls at once on one number, which is when elective enquiries tend to arrive.
What does it cost?
Rs 7,000 a month including 1,000 voice minutes, then Rs 7 a minute. Every plan starts with a free 7-day pilot on your own number.
Ask for a test number, or book a demo.
Watch: an evening at a dental clinic (2 minutes)
Sunrise Dental, an invented clinic: a patient rings in Hindi about a root canal and is booked and confirmed on WhatsApp; every call is written down; the day's chairs, treatment plans and recalls sit on the dashboard; and the AI rings patients back for recalls. Every name and number in it is made up.
