Does an AI receptionist send a WhatsApp confirmation?

Why it arrives even if they have never messaged you
WhatsApp normally only lets a business message somebody who wrote first, within 24 hours. These are Meta-approved template messages, which are exempt from that rule, so a first-time caller at 10 pm still gets their confirmation.

Can I change the wording?
The wording lives in a Meta-approved template, so changes go through approval. Your business name, the service, the time and your Maps link are filled in per booking.
What if the caller has no WhatsApp?
The booking is still made and still shows on your dashboard. Only the message does not arrive.
Is it charged?
WhatsApp template messages carry Meta's own per-conversation fee. It is not part of your voice minutes.
Does it reply if they message back?
No. Replies go to your team's WhatsApp, exactly as they do now.
