How an AI receptionist actually works
You forward your number. Everything else is your own data, spoken back.
There is no app to install and no hardware. You keep the number on your board and your Google listing, and forward it to the number we give you. From then on the agent answers, and what it is allowed to say comes from rows you control in a dashboard.
1. Your number is forwarded
We provision your FrontivaAI number on day one. On your business phone you dial *21* then that number then #, and press call. On most Indian networks that is the whole job, and #21# turns it off. On a landline, ask your provider for call forwarding, all calls.
2. The call is answered and understood
The agent picks up in under a second and has a normal conversation - one question at a time rather than an interrogation. It follows a caller who switches between English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali mid-sentence.
3. It only knows what you loaded
Your services and prices, opening hours, lunch, weekly offs, which staff are in, and your address. It cannot invent a price or a slot, and if something is not on your list it says a colleague will confirm.
- Change your Saturday hours at 9 am and it is quoting them at 9:01
- A slot your front desk just took disappears from what it offers
- A treatment or service that is not on your list is never priced
4. It books, moves or transfers
The appointment is written into the same calendar your team uses, with a staff member assigned. If the caller needs a person, the call is transferred to your forwarding number - and you can pull a live call to a human from the dashboard.
5. Everyone is told, and it is all written down
The caller gets a WhatsApp confirmation with your Google Maps pin, and a reminder before the appointment. You get the booking on your dashboard plus a transcript, summary, outcome and sentiment for the call.
How long it takes to go live
About three days. Day 0 we load your services, prices, hours, staff and address. Day 1 your number is provisioned and WhatsApp connected. Day 2 we make test calls together and hand over your logins.
